Introduction
CaviCide is a convenient, ready-to-use,
high-level disinfectant that is effective against TB, HBV, viruses (hydrophilic
and lipophilic), bacteria (including MRSA and VRE) and fungi. This product
is for professional use only although it is safe for all areas and when
used as directed, it will effectively clean and decontaminates critical
and semi-critical instrumentation. It is safe for use on non-porous surfaces
and perfect for cleaning and decontamination of environmental and medical
device surfaces.

Overview and Description
CaviCide is a
multi-purpose disinfectant/decontaminant cleaner for use on inanimate
surfaces. It is useful in hospital operating rooms, emergency departments,
isolation areas, neonatal units, dental operatories, surgical suites,
out-patient surgical centers, and other critical care areas where environmental
control of cross contamination is important. It is also safe for cleaning
and the decontamination of delicate medical/ dental/ surgical/ environmental/
equipment/ implements and instrumentation.

Use and Procedure
| CaviCide
will effectively kill HIV on pre-cleaned environmental surfaces/objects
previously soiled with blood/body fluids in healthcare or other settings.
Special instructions for cleaning and decontamination against HIV: |

Personal Protection:
Wear appropriate barrier protection such as gloves, gowns, masks and
eye coverings. |

Cleaning Procedure:
Blood and other bodily fluids must be thoroughly cleaned from surfaces
and objects before disinfecting with CaviCide. |

Contact Time: While
the HIV-1 virus is inactivated in 2 minutes, use the recommended contact
time to disinfect other organisms. |

Infectious Materials
Disposal: Cleaning materials used that may contain blood or other
bodily fluids should be autoclaved and/or disposed of in accordance
to your local regulations for infectious material disposal. |

Applications-Surfaces: |
| |
 |
For PreCleaning
instruments, equipment and surfaces before disinfection: Apply CaviCide
directly to the surface. Allow the surface to remain wet for 30 seconds
and then wipe using a paper or cloth towel. |

For Disinfecting
non-critical instruments and equipment surfaces: Apply CaviCide directly
to pre-cleaned surface, thoroughly wetting area to be disinfected.
Allow surface to remain wet for 3 minutes at room temperature. For
Tuberculocidal Activity, allow 5 minutes at room temperature. Wipe
surface using a paper or cloth towel, or allow to air dry. |

Applications-Instruments: |

For use as a pre-cleaning
immersion decontaminant solution: Fill appropriate size container
with a sufficent amount of CaviCide as to allow for complete submersion
of instruments. Place instruments in to the solution, cover and allow
to soak for 10 minutes at room temperature. Remove and rinse instruments.
Follow with appropriate cleaning and disinfection process. Change
solution as needed when it becomes diluted or visibly soiled. |

Warnings
This product is hazardous to humans and domestic animals. It can be harmful
if absorbed through the skin and cause moderate eye irritation if contacted
with the eyes. Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing. You should always
wash your hands before eating drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or
using the toilet after using CaviCide. Remove contaminated clothing and
wash clothing before reuse. Do not use or store this product near heat
or an open flame.
