Amerigel® Care Lotion is formulated to be mild enough to use on the face for conditions such as rosacea yet effective enough to use on the feet for callous formations and fungal infections. This unique formulation has even allowed the Care Lotion to be applied in between the toes without worry of maceration and over discolored nails.

Amerigel® Care Lotion helps retard bullosa development without puncturing the skin by promoting the re-absorption of the fluid within the blister. It is believed that the micronized Zinc, as it penetrates the skin, encourages the reabsorption process. Further, this allows the roof of the blister to remain flexible and intact over the damaged area, forming a natural biological dressing. This "dressing" will eventually necrose and simply "peel off" revealing healthy, pink skin underneath. Because of this, podiatrists are instructing their diabetic patients with neuropathy or those at risk for wound development to incorporate the Amerigel®Care Lotion into their daily regimen. Applying Amerigel® Care Lotion on a daily basis will promote healthier skin that is less prone to breakdown.

Amerigel® Care Lotion is a dimethicone-based moisturizer, exfoliant and keratolytic agent that is non-comedogenic, petrolatum-free, lanolin-free, fragrance-free and dye-free.

The primary ingredient, Oakin® (Oak Extract) is readily absorbed into dry or damaged skin and provides the antimicrobial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antipruritic properties. Urea (1%) helps boost moisture content and Zinc Oxide provides antiseptic and healing benefits to the skin. Butylene Glycol, Butylparaben, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Carpylic/Capric Triglyceride, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Isopropyl Isostearate, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Steareth-2, Steareth-21, Stearic Acid, Stearyl Alcohol, Veegum Ultra, Water, Xanthan Gum.

Formulated for eczema, psoriasis, purpura, xerosis, ichthyosis, bromhidrosis, heel fissures, red itchy rashes and minor burns.

Do not use if there is a known allergy or sensitivity to Oak or any other ingredient.

The Wound Dressing is great for healing post-op P&A nail surgeries and all kinds of ulcers. The Care lotion is terrific for dry skin problems. Both products are accepted by patients quite well.

I have tried AmeriGel Post Op Kits for all nail avulsions with excellent results and better patient compliance. We have also used the Care lotion for venous stasis dermatitis to help clear up the skin and prevent skin breakdown.

I have been a therapist with HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital for almost 19 years and have used AmeriGel Wound Dressing and Amerigel Care Lotion since 1996 with remarkable results.

I initially was using AmeriGel Wound Dressing for strictly decubitis ulcers and deep wounds. I was able to see large open wounds heal in weeks that had been treated for months or even years, without closure when using conventional methods as well as other products.

When I started using AmeriGel Wound Dressing on post-surgical incisions, specifically hip and knee replacements, I found the wound healed quicker with less adhesion. Inadvertently, I found the patient's range of motion was better because the scar tissue did not build up as much.

I recommend your products to all my patients and have utilized them on myself several times with great results for post-surgical incisions, as well as abrasions. As you can tell by now, I am an Amerigel "believer" and use it exclusively on all my wound care needs. Why physicians would not utilize Amerigel on all of their surgical candidates is beyond me. The results would only benefit their patients by expediting the healing process.
