Dedicated to improving student health, School Health Corporation, a national, full-service provider of health supplies and services to schools, is seeking a full-time Order Processing Coordinator. We are a successful family-owned business, professionally managed, that has been in operation since 1957.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to execute our Order Processing objectives while developing professionally.
In this role you will quickly and accurately enter orders received through a variety of sources (mail, fax and the internet) into our ERP system. This is an entry-level position in our Customer Care department in our Hanover Park, Illinois location. Full time, with benefits.
The Order Processing Coordinator position is an entry-level position in the Customer Care Center. Good communication, computer, typing and alphanumeric data entry skills are required.
Principal Duties:
- Accurately enters mail, fax, email, and Internet orders into the company's order processing system per established procedures.
- Researches (by calling or emailing the customer or vendor) when necessary to complete the entry process.
- Manages administrative tasks to support department activities and company activities including performance of inbound and outbound mail processing.
- Maintains order accuracy standard for monthly/year to date error and accuracy reports.
- Maintains orders that are put on hold, follows up with customer and completes in a timely manner via light outbound customer contact.
- Provides support for catalog requests.
- Maintains customer account data.
- Maintains and communicates customer feedback received by mail, fax, or Internet.
- Opens and distributes incoming company mail. Affixes postage to all outgoing mail. Maintains the company's postage meter to ensure date accuracy. Alerts management of any equipment issues or if postage balance is near threshold.
- May provide assistance to accounting for inbound invoice management through scanning and naming documents.
- May serve as backup on a rotating basis to receptionist during breaks, lunch periods, meetings and when receptionist is out of the office.
- May assist with preparation of outbound customer invoices and vouchers.
- Provides project and/or cross-functional team support, as needed, and provides support to the CC Trainer to develop and copy training materials.
- May be responsible for picking up the mail from the post office on a daily basis.

Order Processing Manager
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Completion of some business courses, or related college course work, preferred. Minimum of 12 months of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Order processing and/or distribution experience preferred.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively in small groups.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Computer Skills: Basic PC proficiency:
basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook (preferred) or another email Internet program; order processing software; Salesforce knowledge desirable; spreadsheet software and word processing software. Switchboard console experience is desired but not required.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Required Skills:
A minimum of 7,000 keystrokes per hour (KSPH) is required, with a 95% or above score for accuracy.
