Problem-Solving Photo Scenes

Problem situations students face every day are represented in realistic full-color photo scenes. The problems depicted are those found in the home and community along with safety-specific situations.

The cards portray concrete examples of everyday problem-solving situations in three categories:

• Household problems
• Community problems
• Safety problems

Five easy-to-use critical thinking questions are printed on the reverse side of each photo card. The questions prompt students to identify problems, consider alternatives, determine solutions, and describe how the problem relates to their life experiences. Questions vary in difficulty, making them ideal for use with a wide range of students. Modify questions to match different cognitive levels.
