Carefully comb through the entire head and inspect the comb for lice or nits (lice eggs). If lice or nits are present, proceed to Step 2. Step 2: Section the hair by dividing it and securing each part with clips. Work with a small portion of hair at a time, placing the comb at the scalp and pulling it through the hair all the way from roots to ends. Step 3: Rinse the comb in a cup of water after each pass or clean it under running water as necessary to remove lice, nits, and any debris. Cleaning the Comb Use the included comb cleaner to remove lice, nits and hair debris. Wash the comb with mild soap and water For sterilization, immerse the comb in boiling water for 2 minutes before storing it or using it on another person.
