Like a hand on your shoulder, the Wrap Around Weighted Sashes provide the wearer a little extra pressure on the body that can improve attention. Research has consistently shown pressure on the skin and extra work for the joints and muscles provide a calming and focusing effect for kids who tend to fidget. Worn for up to 30 minutes at a time, Wrap Arounds can help improve attention during learning times such as circle time, independent work time and meal time.
Wrap Arounds work well for any fidgety kid but are particularly effective if your child struggles with the effects of any of the following difficulties or disorders: anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) or Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
Maximum wearing time recommendation is 15 - 30 minutes per occasion. Multiple occasions may be appropriate throughout the day and should be used under the supervision of an adult.
Four sections on the wrap around keep the weight evenly distributed. Each wrap around includes a non-latex elastic band where a fidget object can be clipped to further improve focus. Non-toxic PET pellets inside each wrap around are free of BPA, Phthalate and lead. Easy care - machine wash and dry. Do not put in microwave.

Sommerfly™ Products began with the mixing of ideas and passions of two sisters who wanted to start their own business. It all started when co-founder Kristi Langslet, a practicing Occupational Therapist, began designing and making products for her clients to meet specific needs related to Sensory Processing. Sleep, calm and focus were some of the primary challenges of her clients in the Sensory-Based Therapy Clinic in which she worked.
As more and more positive feedback came in it became very clear what Kristi had created worked and worked well. This didn't happen by pure luck but rather through countless hours of design and function testing directly with her patients. Kristi and Heidi were insistent that their products not only had to work well but also be of a quality that would benefit their customers in masses for many years to come.
