Interactive Reading Books and Software

Utilize the power of visual strategies for beginning readers to learn to associate pictures with words. Students move and attach picture cards with hook and loop fasteners to match, identify, label, sequence and create sentences while learning to read. Fun and rewarding for children with and without special needs. Ages 7 to 12.

Interactive Reading Books Each library contains eight laminated, ring-bound books with removable picture cards. The books feature a standard skill sequence: Picture match, picture identification and picture labeling. Students interact with the books by attaching Velcro backed picture cards to the corresponding text. This encourages non-reading students to participate and succeed in literacy activities.

Set 1 includes: How Many?, What Color Is It?, I Go To School, and Things I Do At Home.
Set 2 includes: Action!, Sounds Good To Me, The Ups and Downs of Opposites, How Do I Feel?
Set 3 includes: I Have Feelings, Too!, What Happened and Why?, Pigs in Space, Who’s on First?
Set 4 includes: Meet the Word Family, What’s It For?, What Do I Say?, What Do I Do?

Interactive Reading Software
Reads the books aloud with highlighted text and lets students click on any word for identification. It features picture-to-picture and picture-to-word matching exercises with a speech recording option. An easy-to-use management system lets you select books for each student and stores student performance results. Provides exercises in matching, identifying, labeling and sequencing sentences. Loads of fun for those computer savvy learners! Win/Mac dual platform. Performance is maximized on all Whiteboards, touch screens, and widescreen monitors. Scanning is automatic (one switch) and step (two switches).
