Coin-u-Lator and Accessories

Students learn about money, the value of different coins, and other skills with this fun coin counting calculator with visual, auditory and tactile stimulation. Program prepares students for accurately using coins in everyday "real-life" situations.

Realistic coin buttons and dollar bill each make a sound when pressed - announcing the amount (e.g. "ten cents"). Easy to read digital screen clearly displays status of counting, values of coins, title of game, and various responses. Automatic shut-off activates after 10 minutes of inactivity for energy saving.

It also provides sounds for reinforcement, such as "Good Job!" A mute button is useful in classroom settings. The math activity can easily be switched from addition to subtraction. An "Ooops" button lets students go back and fix mistakes. Includes two fun learning games (Matching and Coin-Count), batteries and instructions.

Activity Cards
Help students of all ages learn basic money concepts. When used with the Coin-U-Lator, the activity cards provide 'hands-on,' money-counting practice. 5" x 8" cards feature realistic depictions of pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, and $1 bills. Includes:

• 50 Pocket Change cards featuring coins grouped in like rows by value on one side with the amount given as a decimal and in alphanumeric format on the opposite side.
• 50 Wallet Money cards, featuring coins and bills grouped in order of value on one side with the amount shown as a decimal and in alphanumeric format on the back side
• Instruction card with complete instructions for reviewing the Coin-U-Lator and the activity cards, Pocket Change and Wallet Money cards demonstrations, and helpful hints.

Worksheets
100 reproducible worksheets teach the value of coins and money, arranged in progressive levels of difficulty for students with varying degrees of knowledge of math and money. Especially effective when coin counting is reinforced by placing realistic coins over the printed coins on the worksheets. After conquering the basics of coin counting using the Coin-u-lator, students can progress to completing the worksheets independently. Can be used with or without the Coin-u-lator.
