Use them to discourage tongue-thrusting, to promote tongue retraction, and to correct overall tongue position. They can also be helpful with tensing for controlled lip and tongue movement. Fits into most standard drinking straws (measuring approximately .25" diameter) - straws not included.

Lip Blok works the mouth muscles naturally. Use the longest 3/4" Lip Blok first, then the 1/2", and finally the 1/4". This hierarchy allows individuals to slowly adjust to the shorter length, which in turn teaches them to insert less of the straw into the mouth. Try varying the liquid consistencies to supplement your other intervention strategies for increasing sensory awareness, symmetry, coordination, graded control for liquids, jaw stability, and lip, tongue, and cheek function. Shorter length provides a better oral motor workout.

Pack includes three lengths (3/4", 1/2", 1/4") plus two flexible versions (1 firm and 1 soft). The flexible version is made of a pliable material that can be cut to any desired length.

Each Lip Blok is constructed of medical grade materials that are FDA compliant and contain no lead, phthalates, PVC, BPA, or latex.
