General Warehouse Associate – Seasonal
School Health Corporation is the leading provider of medical supplies to schools and sports teams nationwide. Our family owned business has a need to bring on seasonal employees during the summer months for warehouse workers.
To fill this need, we annually hire on many high school and college students for the summer months, many of whom return each year to save up for school. We are also looking for adults who want to earn some extra money over the summer and into the fall. We will train on this valuable, transferable skill.
We offer flexible scheduling and shifts and a very competitive wage. Full and part time hours are available. These are seasonal positions and do not include benefits.
General Warehouse Associate – Seasonal
- Stock packing tables with supplies and boxes as needed.
- Put away packing supplies in designated area.
- Gather totes from packing, shipping, freight and return them to the picking department.
- Remove cardboard from under conveyor, primary locations and packing area.
- Empty trash cans from all areas of the warehouse.
- Sweep entire warehouse daily.
- Pick up trash outside along receiving docks.
- Stack and remove empty pallets from overstock packing.
- Breakdown empty boxes found in aisles, picking line and place in recycle bin.
- Shrink wrap skids in Freight and Shipping.
- Stack and strap cartons in shipping.
- Load pallets on trailers using a hand truck.
- Consolidate and restack product in floor locations.
- Assist in other departments as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to Team Leader or Manager.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
Basic skills helpful.
Other Qualifications
Ability to use hand jacks.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

Work hours available Monday thru Friday between 7am and 4pm. After July 1st, 7am through 7:30pm. Saturday hours may be available.
