Inventory Clerk

Dedicated to improving student health since 1957, School Health Corporation, a national, full-service provider of health supplies and services to schools, is seeking an Inventory Clerk. In this role you will manage and maintain inventory accuracy. You will process Inventory and Distribution related activities, including optimizing product positioning to increase productivity efficiencies. We offer the opportunity to work for a successful, family owned business. This is a full-time position in our Hanover Park, Illinois Distribution Center.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Inventory Adjustments
- Process RM’s: “Return to Vendor”
- Process requests/tasks by Inventory Control related to adjustments and vendor RM’s
- Process requests/tasks by Distribution Center related to adjustments
- Optimize overstock pallet rack space utilization
- Research Inventory Variance report monthly
- Research unusual $ or transactional differences
- Research trends variances (year to year, month to month)
- Work with Supply Chain Managers on detail of trends
- Share results with Supply Chain and Finance leadership
- Verification of Cycle count discrepancies
- Secondary counts
- Research transactions
- Execute necessary resolutions
- Review Lot Date report, and execute the necessary resolutions
- Processing inventory moves on customer RM’s post receiving
- Organize, monitor, and control unavailable inventory
- Review and execute FIFO report
- Re-slotting primary bin locations based upon product ranking
Skills needed:
- An understanding of how to control and maintain inventory accuracy through adjustments, cycle counts, and utilization of a Warehouse Management System
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Reach Truck and Order Picker experience
- RF Scanner experience
- Good communication skills, verbal and written
- Computer (Microsoft apps)
- Physical (lift up to 50 lbs) and general Distribution Center conditions
Experience required:
1 year recent Inventory Management or Supply Chain Management experience required.
