The FRx Infant/Child key is the secret that makes the Philips HeartStart FRx AED so cost effective to own. Other AEDs use pediatric electrode pads for use on children. The FRx uses a "key" that when inserted into the device, converts the FRx into a pediatric defibrillator. The key can be used over and over again with no need to replace it. Compare that to the cost of replacing pediatric electrode pads on other AEDs and you'll experience the savings. The HeartStart FRx Smart Pads II are used for all emergencies. The unique Infant/Child Key is used only with the FRx Defibrillator when treating an infant or child who is under 55 lbs or 8 years old.

Features:

• When the Infant/Child Key is inserted, the FRx automatically reduces the defibrillation energy and provides voice and visual instructions and CPR coaching specifically geared for treatment of infants/children.
• Graphics on the key show proper pad placement for infants and children.
• When inserted in the FRx, the CPR Coaching provided will be for infant/child CPR.
• When the Infant/Child Key is inserted in the FRx, the FRx automatically reduces the defibrillation energy to 50 joules and, if optional CPR Coaching is selected, provides coaching appropriate for infants and children.
