September 15, 2015
HANOVER PARK, IL – The School Health Corporation has entered into a partnership with the Sports Medicine Broadcast (SMB), a creative, fun, and educational venue to discuss relevant situations relating to athletic trainers. This partnership will connect School Health – Sports Medicine customers to the SMB discussion, providing them solutions for everyday situations. The School Health-sponsored podcasts will offer a chance for listeners to win a $50 gift card to School Health – Sports Medicine. School Health will also provide new and innovative products for the SMB to review, an effort that helps athletic trainers keep current with new tools and resources.
“I want to provide value to my audience,” says Jeremy Jackson, LAT, host of the Sports Medicine Broadcast. “Partnering with School Health allows me to extend the value my listeners are receiving through new product information and even better, free stuff!”
Greg Evans, MA ATC, Product Manager for School Health Corporation agrees. “It’s important that School Health – Sports Medicine is a valued resource that helps to promote the profession of athletic training,” says Evans. “Being a part of the Sports Medicine Broadcast helps us to give back to the athletic training community that we serve.”
The SMB discusses topics that are directly applicable to the athletic training room; topics that are not often covered in “traditional” periodicals or journals. Topics such as “Female AT Struggles,” “Rookie Mistakes” and “Fixing Water Stations” have direct and immediate impact on aspects of the job that are not learned in traditional curriculum settings. To top it off, listeners can receive one hour of CEUs for streaming the broadcast live which is made possible by Greater Houston Athletic Trainers Society.
