School Health Matches Donations for NASN Endowment Fund During Annual Conference

September 10, 2021

ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. — School Health Corporation is excited to announce a donation of $12,394 to the National Association of School Nurses’ (NASN) Endowment Fund. At this year’s 2021 Virtual NASN Annual Conference on June 21-27, the company pledged to support school nurses and the NASN Endowment Fund by matching every donation through the “Double Down for Data President's Endowment Challenge.” By the end of the week-long conference, School Health Corporation and NASN raised a total of $24,788.

“We were thrilled for the opportunity to partner with NASN and contribute to an already amazing year for donations,” said Rob Rogers, President of School Health Corporation. “We’re passionate about helping our nurses succeed in every aspect of their profession, and it was important for us to be able to match donations during the conference because we understand how vital our school nurses are in their schools and communities.”

The NASN Endowment Fund aims to support school nurses by funding grants to improve the school nursing practice and school-affiliated delivery of health care, and by providing scholarships for nurses who are seeking advanced academic degrees or certifications within the field. This has been a record year for the fund. Prior to School Health’s donation, the organization had already raised $19,814 since the start of NASN’s fiscal year in April.

“School Health Corporation has been a steadfast supporter of the National Association of School Nurses and frontline school nurses for many years. This year, their matching of NASN Endowment Fund contributions made during our 2021 annual conference, supporting the Double Down for Data President's Endowment Challenge, helped NASN reach a high-water mark in Endowment fundraising,” said Laurie G. Combe, the former President of the National Association of School Nurses. “NASN greatly appreciates School Health’s investment in student health and the practice of school nursing, which will pay dividends for years to come.”

The money raised during the “Double Down for Data Challenge” will be used for research pertaining to student health and the furthering the school nursing practice, as well as the provision of scholarships for school nurses seeking to advance their education.

School Health has a long history of partnering with NASN and has made many contributions to the Endowment Fund over the years. In 2003, Rogers co-chaired the first NASN Endowment Fund Committee. Prior to this year’s matching gift, the company had donated over $60,000 to the fund itself.

“Our continued collaboration with NASN, as well as our contributions to the Endowment Fund, are just a few of the ways we can show our support and ensure the success of school nurses everywhere,” said Rogers.
