Tactile Discs

Inviting tactile material challenges children's sense of touch on both hands and feet, while developing the ability to describe sense impressions verbally. Made of nice-to-touch synthetic rubber, each disc has a different tactile structure and color. Tactile structure is on both a large disc for positioning on the floor and on a small disc that the child can hold in his/her hands.

The discs offer innumerable possibilities for play, including a fundamental sensing of the tactile structures, tactile recognition, matching, patterning, color recognition, and blindfold games based on memory and recognition. Games can be adjusted to fit child's age and level of functionality. Therapeutic possibilities are increased by using both sized discs in numerous ways.

Sets include large discs, small discs, blindfold, storage bag, and instructions. Not made with natural latex rubber. Small discs measure approximately 4-1/2". Large discs measure approximately 10-1/2". Weight capacity 220 lbs.
