As the next generation of the world’s most advanced portable handheld retinal camera, the RetinaVue 700 Imager is designed to help make retinal exams simple and affordable for providers. This easy-to-use smart camera offers an automated retina imaging experience - featuring auto-alignment, auto-focus and auto-capture. The device offers flexible workflow options, including EMR connectivity and WiFi, enabling efficient information transfer and seamless integration into your workflow. The RetinaVue 700 Imager works exclusively with HIPAA-compliant, FDA-cleared RetinaVue Network software–a RetinaVue Network software subscription is required and priced per camera, per month.

To start a teleretinal diabetic retinal exam program, community-based programs should have the following components in place:

  • A physician to provide clinical oversight of the program
  • A screening device that could be used by non-clinical volunteers
  • Overread services (can be provided by local eye care specialists who are managed by the community organization or contracting with Baxter to use RetinaVue, P.C. services)
  • A workflow to administer the screening and send the captured images to a licensed ophthalmologist to review and develop the diagnosis/results report, and follow up with the patient to share the diagnosis
    • Subject screened at community event; Volunteer captures images with the RetinaVue 700 Imager
    • Volunteer wirelessly transfers subject images from the RetinaVue 700 Imager to the RetinaVue Network
    • An eye specialist interprets images and generates a diagnostic report
    • The diagnostic report is returned to the RetinaVue Network in less than 24 hours
    • Volunteer communicates screening results to the subject
    • If needed, the subject seeks follow-up treatment from eye care specialist

Answer: The RetinaVue 700 Imager is designed to work exclusively with the RetinaVue Network software. A RetinaVue Network software subscription is required and priced per camera, per month. HIPAA-compliant, FDA-cleared RetinaVue Network software enables you to easily transmit encrypted retinal images to your preferred ophthalmic specialist and manage population health data on retinal exams by clinic and patient. RetinaVue Network software subscriptions include fully integrated, bi-directional interfaces with EMRs to streamline documentation.

Warranty Your Welch Allyn product, when new, is warranted to be free from original defects in material and workmanship and to perform in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications under normal use and service. The warranty period* begins from the date of purchase from Welch Allyn, Inc. or its authorized distributors. Welch Allyn’s obligation is limited to the repair or replacement of components determined by Welch Allyn to be defective within the warranty period. These warranties extend to the original purchaser and cannot be assigned or transferred to any third party. This warranty shall not apply to any damage or product failure determined by Welch Allyn to have been caused by misuse, accident (including shipping damage), neglect, improper maintenance, modification, or repair by someone other than Welch Allyn or one of its authorized service representatives.
