Testimonials
Testimonials | One of the Top 5 products we believe made a significant contribution to the EMS community in 2009 - the Staff of FireRescue1.com and EMS1.com I love it! Not only is it fun to use, but it is a great way to simulate an action that sounds simple, but does take practice to get right. - Rosanna Gomez-Martin, PHR, Director of Training and International Programs, YMCA of San Francisco We are having a great time with them!... finally a way to practice the abdominal thrusts. - Jennifer Idley EMT, Hearstart Inc, Texas They're COOL! What a great way to practice this skill! - Customer, San Fransisco Paramedic Association I just have to tell you the students have been having a blast with the vests in class. They all comment on what a good feel and visual it finally gives them when someone is explaining the Heimlich. It is a great product. - David Bianco, EMT-P CPR Simplicity, LLC We are having a GREAT time with them! We took them to a health fair and I think I could have sold 5 of them to school teachers. They loved it. All of our classes enjoy them as well, finally having a way to practice the abdominal thrusts. - Jennifer Idley, EMT Heartstart, Inc. My instructors love the trainers. We take them to health fairs, festivals, and exhibit them in our first aid stations. We have probably trained as many as 750 people (we are a small chapter) using the trainers. We train many daycare providers and foster parents so we demonstrate as closely as we can. We really enjoy having the trainers and my instructors say that it adds a little entertainment to the course. - Arann Banks Director of Health & Safety Services American Red Cross - Jackson County Chapter The Act+Fast Anti-choking Trainers are a big hit in this program. Everywhere I go, people at the schools want to purchase the trainers. The students and teachers really like them because you can practice the obstructed airway relief on a real person. "Reality" training is a big theme in my program. This is more realistic than using manikins or just "pretending" to do the Heimlich maneuver. - Connie Carmany, R.N., Director, Heartsafe Kids Our Troop (T1323, Laytonsville, MD) has been employing the use of the Act+Fast vest regularly. We are blessed with two parents who have taken over the teaching of First Aid requirements. One is a PhD with extensive Red Cross training, the other has the Boy Scout minimal training and was a Special Forces Medic.mBoth do a great job of teaching and have used the Act-Fast vest to teach. I believe that the vest is very useful for emulating the correct thrusting movements. - Larry Halverson, Scout Master, Boy Scouts of America Laytonsville, MD I have been using the Act Fast Anti-Choking Trainers in my pilot program for school children from K-12th grades called "Heartsafe Kids". It is a reality-based program, which is why I like the trainers. The kids absolutely love them! It's the only way to practice the Heimlich Maneuver on a real person. The students are all eager to try it, both being the "victim" and being the rescuer. I use them with adults, too, in my CPR classes and they are just as thrilled. I highly recommend these trainers. - Connie Carmany, RN, BSN, Director, "Heartsafe Kids" This is a really cleaver training tool. The secretaries in the office learned how to thrust about 2 minutes after I opened the package! - Angel Burba MS, EMT-P, NCEE Associate Professor, EMS Director Howard Community College |
