About the Presenter:

Ruqayya Gibson

Ruqayya Gibson is a dynamic keynote speaker, author, and founder of the Damani Gibson Foundation. Gibson has touched the lives of athletes and coaches across the country demonstrating how to live a life of peace and purpose regardless of the circumstances encountered.

Gibson has dedicated her life to helping youth find their purpose and has been honored as TTFCA Coach of the Year, Brooks Inspiring Coach, and has a coaching video on Championship Productions. She has helped students earn over 2 million dollars in scholarship funding during her years as a championship coach having coached numerous state champions, NCAA All Americans, and Olympians.

In March of 2019, her life changed when her 17 year old son suddenly passed away without warning. She founded the Damani Gibson Foundation in his honor, providing leadership training and support as a mental performance coach to adults and teens as well as raising awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest. She has provided lifesaving Sudden Cardiac Training to thousands of athletes and coaches across the nation. Additionally, she has helped individuals dealing with grief, loss and adversity find ways to find peace, purpose, and productivity.

Gibson is also a filmmaker having produced the documentaries The Storm Inside and Without Warning.
