Silly Sets helps students develop their listening skills and produce correct speech patterns.
Minimal pairs are often used in the treatment of phonological process disorders. They are also great for other goals such as creating a story based on the picture, articulation carry-over, inferring, and overall expressive language tasks.
Minimal pairs are pairs of words that differ by only one sound (such as “tea” and “key”). Illustrated minimal pair picture cards show children how changing one sound in a word can affect the meaning of an entire sentence – often with silly results!
Targets four different phonological processes, including Final Consonant Deletion, Cluster Reduction, Fronting, and Stopping. Grades PreK and up.
