Speech may be an auditory sense, but seeing yourself talk can help with articulation and clarity. Many kids with articulation problems don’t understand how to move their mouths to make sounds correctly. Speaking in front of a mirror can help a child see how their mouth moves when making particular sounds. You can articulate each sound slowly and correctly to model proper positioning for your student and demonstrate the differences in the mirror.
