Inventory Control Analyst

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to execute our Inventory Control objectives while developing professionally.

In this role you will plan and purchase inventory through our ERP system to support School Health’s inventory goals and metrics. This is a full-time position in our Supply Chain/Inventory Control department in our Hanover Park, Illinois location.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage and maintain proper inventory levels for stock products from numerous vendors in multiple product categories
  • Properly manage replenishment orders to ensure timely delivery and correct quantities, while responding to changing demand patterns
  • Forecast and plan sales in an ERP system, while calculating purchase order quantities for programs and/or core merchandise on a timely basis to meet goals
  • Utilize the replenishment system to drive cost saving improvements, make recommendations to management for stocking efficiencies, and drive bottom line improvements through creative Inventory Control methodologies
  • Resolve PO receipt issues with our Distribution Center and vendors regarding damages, overages, shortages, and return merchandise
  • Directly control quantity and timing of purchases to meet departmental objectives
  • Utilize tools and experience to positively impact results on the following KPI’s: inventory turns, fill rate, inventory dollars, GMROI, and % of slow-moving inventory

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Supply Chain or related field
  • -3 years of experience in supply chain activities such as inventory replenishment, supply chain management, supplier integration, forecasting, and materials management
  • Inventory Management or Supply Chain certifications a plus
  • Vendor relations, customer relations, and distribution experience a plus

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Understanding of inventory replenishment concepts
  • Self-motivated, highly detailed, and good communications skills
  • Strong analytical skills and organizational skill
  • Desire to work in a team-environment
  • ERP, Salesforce a plus
